Welcome back!

We here at CMEA-NS would like to welcome you back to the new school year.  As part of this new school year, many parts of the CMEA-NS website have been updated, so please take a look around.  Also, it would be great if one person from each region sent all of the dates/information for events so that they can be posted on the calendar and website.  Finally, please remember to renew your CMEA membership.  You can find the application on the website.

CMEA-NS Students at All State

Congratulations to Camelia Boutrous and Roxanne Winslow from Chico High school who were in the All State Honor Bands held in Fresno.  Roxanne was selected to be in the Symphonic Band and had was also selected to perform in an off stage trumpet fanfare.  Camelia, who made the Concert Band, was selected to receive a $700.00 scholarship to Cazadero Music Camp. Congratulations! 

Orff Workshop Cancelled

In case you were planning to attend the Orff workshop scheduled for March 5th, it has been canceled. Thank you for supporting the Mt. Lassen Chapter of the American Orff Schulwerk Association.

Congratulations to Mr. Dave Green of Truckee High School for being named CMEA-Northern Section Music Educator of the Year!

Congratulations to Mrs. Susan Delgardo of Chico High School for being named CMEA Pearson Scott Foresman/Silver Burdett
Choral Educator of they year!
